Cristiano Ronaldo has paid homage to Saudi Arabia with a new £630,000 watch featuring stones 200 times rarer than emeralds and bearing the country’s colors.

The 37-year-old Ronaldo made Saudi Arabia his new home when he moved to Al Nassr in December, and he will receive a staggering £173 million for each year he remains in the Middle East. And the forward has decided to spend some of his money on a spectacular green watch, the color of the Saudi flag, to show his appreciation for the country that signed him when nobody else was interested after his disastrous departure from Manchester United.

The ‘Caviar Flyin Tourbillon’ timepiece was designed specifically for Ronaldo by luxury watch dealer Jacob & Co, whose brand he represents. The stunning model features an 18k white gold 47mm x 15.85mm Caviar case with 388 green Tsavorite jewels.

The gemstones are believed to be 200 times more uncommon than emeralds, despite emeralds being more expensive. In addition to being propelled by the JCAA43 movement, the watch features 216 parts, 27 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve.

Ronaldo unveiled the exclusive timepiece while en route to Riyadh wearing a pricey Christian Dior T-shirt. When he returns to the Saudi city, he can unwind in his 17-room, £250,000-per-month rental residence.

It is not the first time Ronaldo has brought a meaningful watch. When he departed United, he spent £124,000 on another piece featuring sapphire crystals and gold print.

And the diamond-encrusted hand clock, also crafted by Jacob, appeared to be a jab at United, as it depicted Ronaldo’s notorious 9-foot headed goal for Real Madrid against the Red Devils. Ronaldo’s career in Saudi Arabia has already begun with a bang; he scored twice on his debut against Paris Saint-Germain in an exhibition match but was deemed “finished” by brutal supporters after his performance against Ettifaq FC.
